Kaitlyn Zevchek is a freelance musician and flute educator in Northeastern Ohio. She has been teaching the flute privately for over 12 years to students of all ages and ability levels. Kaitlyn obtained her Master of Education in 2018 from Kent State University, Master of Music from the University of Akron in 2012 and her Bachelor’s Degree in Flute Performance from Kent State University in 2010.
She has studied privately with George Pope and Diane McCloskey Rechner. Kaitlyn has played with many different orchestras, bands, small chamber groups and as a soloist.
While Kaitlyn loves to perform, her bigger passion is teaching. Along with teaching privately, she has also taught numerous masterclasses with topics ranging from musicality, music theory and tone quality. Kaitlyn is a firm believer in everybody learns differently, therefore every lesson will be individualized to the student to meet their unique needs. Lesson topics will include but not be limited to warmups and scales, music theory, musicality, and solo repertoire. She is excited to be apart of the Jackson Massillon School of Music!
